Agnus from Wreck Bay completed Year 8 at St Catherine’s School in 2021 on an AIEF Scholarship. Agnus is a dedicated student who has applied herself in her studies. Agnus maintained a strong and consistent effort throughout online learning. She has shown a strong commitment in demonstrating her culture at St Catherine’s and is keen to share Indigenous culture with her peers. Agnus has a passion and expresses great interest for social justice causes and Indigenous affairs.
Priscilla from Wreck Bay completed Year 9 at St Catherine’s School in 2021 on an AIEF Scholarship. Priscilla has taken leadership in the school’s Reconciliation Week activities. Priscilla organised for permission to be granted by her grandfather (a community Elder) to administer ochre to school staff and students. Priscilla represented her culture with pride and has been a wonderful role model for students in younger years. Priscilla continues to develop positive relationships with her peers and teachers and maintained a consistent approach to online learning.
Alana from La Perouse completed Year 10 at St Catherine’s School in 2021 on an AIEF Scholarship. Alana is a hardworking and diligent student. Alana has developed strong relationships in the boarding house. Alana is hoping to expand her co-curricular pursuits when restrictions ease. She is looking to extend herself by selecting challenging subjects such as Mathematics Extension 1 and Economics.
Eden from Botany NSW completed Year 12 at St Catherine’s School in 2021 on an AIEF Scholarship. Eden is an exceptional student and challenged herself by entering enrichment competitions. Eden is an enthusiastic musician who participated in many ensembles as a percussionist. Eden was awarded Boarding Prefect for 2021 and is commended for the leadership she showed throughout the year. Eden has shown strong leadership skills in a range of school organised activities and has remained committed to her studies.
Joy from Wreck Bay completed Year 8 at St Catherine’s School in 2021 on an AIEF Scholarship. Joy participated in school wide events in 2021 including touch football, NAIDOC and Reconciliation Week activities. Joy has a strong interest in social justice causes and has expressed her willingness to participate in service-based activities.
Mae from Nowra completed Year 12 at St Catherine’s School in 2021 on an AIEF Scholarship. Mae maintained a consistent work ethic during online learning. Mae displayed great leadership skills in many Indigenous activities planned at St Catherine’s. Mae has a love of Mathematics and is considering medicine or aged care as options post school. She is keen to become involved in service education and to give back to communities. Mae has been awarded early entry to UTS where she will be undertaking subjects which align with her passion for law.
Aysha from Nowra completed Year 10 at St Catherine’s School in 2021 on an AIEF Scholarship. Aysha is a keen sportswoman, participating in the netball and touch football teams. She trains with the school netball academy and is hoping to be selected for a representative team in 2022. Aysha maintained a consistent and enthusiastic approach to online learning but looks forward to returning to boarding in 2022.
