St Joseph’s Nudgee College

AIEF students were at the forefront of enriching our diverse culture at Nudgee College through the sharing of knowledge and culture in celebrating Reconciliation and NAIDOC week throughout the College. The AIEF students showcased their culture with pride and an ongoing commitment to enhance the rich tapestry of our school spirit.

Many individual students also achieved significant success in 2024. A highlight for the entire school was when John was named Captain of our First XV rugby team and also being named in the Australian schoolboys team. This is a major accomplishment given the school’s depth of talent and it was a powerful message for our younger boys to emulate John’s strong leadership qualities, representing his school and his culture so proudly. While many boys received academic medals, Darcy needs to be celebrated for his continued achievements in academic excellence whilst also participating in a number of co-curricular activities across the wider school community.

Jayden was selected in a number of representative teams across athletics and soccer, as was EJ, being selected in the Indigenous Games for soccer, both boys come from remote communities where opportunities would not have been possible without the pathways provided by an AIEF scholarship.

Nudgee College is blessed to be on a journey with AIEF and is grateful our AIEF students are able to be celebrated and be provided with the opportunity to reach their potential.
