AIEF TRANSITION SUPPORT PROGRAM

The AIEF Transition Support Program provides targeted support to students from Year 11 onwards to prepare them to make a successful transition from school to further studies or employment.

ONE-ON-ONE TRANSITION SUPPORT

One-on-one transition support begins in Year 11 and continues indefinitely after graduation. Students work with a dedicated member of the Pathways Team to identify their interests and achieve their aspirations in a sustainable way.

AIEF assists students with goal setting and applications for university, training and/or employment opportunities, and collaborates with tertiary institutions, employers, schools to achieve the best possible outcomes for AIEF Scholarship Students.

Activities

The AIEF Transition Support Program provides targeted support to students from Year 11 onwards to prepare them to make a successful transition from school to further studies or employment.

AIEF Tertiary Experience Day: a tour of Indigenous support centres, residential colleges and other facilities at different universities which aims to help students in Year 11 and 12 develop an understanding of university life, study options and the level of support available.

AIEF Learn It! Live It! Work Readiness Workshops for Year 11 and Year 12 students designed to help students develop essential skills for life after school. Workshops include sessions on culture and identity, emotional intelligence and strengths and values (Year 11); and financial literacy, interview techniques and presentation skills (Year 12).

Year 12 Graduations: an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class of AIEF Scholarship Students and reinforce the relationships between students and AIEF, and students and their AIEF Mentors.
