On 20 July AIEF-BHP Tertiary Scholars
from across Australia travelled to the BHP Daunia mine in Queensland for the
BHP Career Pathways Workshop.
Students heard from engineers, plant
managers and geologists in a tour of the site, which included a visit to the
coal wash plant and the large outdoor pit.
A networking lunch paired each
student with someone from BHP working in their field of study, giving students
an insight into what a career with BHP could look like.
A big thank you to AIEF-BHP Tertiary
Alum and BHP Graduate Mining Engineer Nyah Teiotu for helping to organise this
fantastic experience.
