On 31 August 27 AIEF Scholarship Students from 12 Partner Schools in NSW, VIC and WA attended the Year 12 Learn It! Live It! Work Readiness Workshop at KPMG in Sydney.
The workshop is designed to help students gain the skills and knowledge they need to make a successful transition from school to careers.
Shane Phillips from Tribal Warrior told the story of the British colonisation of Sydney and its impact over the past 200 years from the vantage point of the Barangaroo office and shared his own career journey.
Students also enjoyed sessions on financial literacy with Brandon from the Commonwealth Bank; interview techniques with a team from Allens; and building your brand on LinkedIn with Gareth from SAP.
AIEF Alumni Tanika, Joel and Thomas closed the workshop with a panel discussion about their experiences since leaving school and progressing to further study and the workforce.
