On 30 August 2011, the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation announced the expansion of its successful Indigenous scholarship program into Western Australia and launched a long-term partnership with BHP Billiton.
Students, school representatives and staff from AIEFs corporate partners joined CEO Ian Ashby at the breakfast function to celebrate the collaboration.
The AIEF/BHP scholarships will provide boarding school opportunities for students across Western Australia, including at least 35 from the Pilbara region.
