AIEF Tertiary Scholar Mikasa Donald was honoured to deliver the Acknowledgement of Country at the Committee for Sydneys end of year event on 13 December.
Mikasa enjoyed meeting Committee for Sydney Chairman Michael Rose AM (also an AIEF Ambassador) and keynote speaker Michael Daley MP, NSW Leader of the Opposition.
Mikasa spoke about her journey from far north Queensland to completing Year 12 on an AIEF Scholarship at Pymble Ladies College in 2013, and on to studying Nursing at UTS.
The event was a great opportunity to meet with members of the Committee, including representatives from major companies, universities, government departments and key cultural organisations.
