In July 2012, four Indigenous students from AIEF Partner Schools in Sydney were invited to the offices of AIEF corporate partner, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Over an intimate boardroom lunch with Chief Executive Officer Ian Narev and senior staff of the bank, the students had the chance to ask questions about career opportunities in the field of banking and chat about their plans and dreams for the future.

Food for Thought is a series of boardroom luncheons bringing Indigenous students together with CEOs and senior managers of AIEF’s corporate partners to build their networking skills. It is part of the AIEF Pathways Program, which offers a wide range of work-readiness activities and support to help students transition from school into further study and careers. The aim of the program is to inform them about career options and provide one-on-one support to develop and achieve their career goals.
