In recent months, Mentor Program Training and Induction events have been held across the country. Adapted for the online environment, these events give volunteer mentors and their students the opportunity to get to know each other and start to build the foundations of their relationship.

At Training, new mentors learned more about the program, their role as a mentor and how to best support their students on the journey ahead.

At Induction, mentor-student pairs have enjoyed participating in icebreaker games, activities, and rapport and trust-building exercises.

Where possible, mentors and students will proceed to catch up in person, and otherwise will continue to develop their relationship through regular phone calls, emails, and online sessions.

The annual Mentor Challenge provides further opportunities for relationship-building, presenting mentor-student pairs with a series of activities to complete together throughout the year.

Thanks to our new and continuing volunteer mentors, including those from our partners Allens, BHP, Commonwealth Bank, HSBC, KPMG, Qantas, SAP and South32.
