Peninsula Grammar 2024 Report
Leandra Turner, Principal

Peninsula Grammar is a Kinder to Year 12 co-ed School on the Mornington Peninsula located on Bunurong / Boonwurrung Country.

The Peninsula Grammar Indigenous program includes students from ELC to Year 12 comprised of day and boarding students who are supported and educated via pathways to attain formally recognised qualifications when they graduate from School.

Peninsula Grammar has an ongoing and caring commitment to working in partnership with Indigenous families with the provision of an educational program for First Nation’s students by offering a number of scholarships each year to First Nation’s students.

Peninsula Grammar staff complete relevant professional learning connected to First Nations’ People including cultural competence training throughout the year, Indigenous guest speakers and culturally relevant First Nations’ experiences.

Peninsula Grammar continues to provide increasing opportunities for all students, staff and families to access and celebrate Indigenous culture and learn about Indigenous history.   These aims have been facilitated through the inclusion of building connections with key First Nations local people, by inviting First nations presenters into our school to facilitate learning, through Indigenous perspectives in the teaching and learning curriculum, development of the schools Reconciliation Action Plan and a large committee of staff who meet regularly to discuss and implement First Nations ideas. As a school community we mark key events and special weeks in the First Nations calendar and develop a deeper understanding and practice of Reconciliation.
