AIEF recently held the Year 11 Learn It! Live It! Work Readiness Workshop in Brisbane for students from our Partner Schools in Queensland and Western Australia.

AIEF were proud to attend the Garma Festival in north-east Arnhem Land hosted by the Yothu Yindi Foundation. AIEF Deputy CEO Renée Coffey and AIEF Alum Sarah Treacy (Loreto Normanhurst, 2012) hosted a group at the festival which included AIEF supporters, Corporate Partners, guests and family.

On 20 August AIEF Scholarship Students from Partner Schools across Australia attended the Year 12 Learn It! Live It! Work Readiness Workshop at Commonwealth Bank in Sydney.

AIEF celebrated the Class of 2019 Year 12 Graduation with an event in Sydney hosted by Qantas. AIEF Scholarship Students from Partner Schools across Australia gathered to celebrate their achievements in front of an audience of their peers, teachers, AIEF Mentors, AIEF Ambassadors and Board Members, representatives of AIEF Corporate Partners and founding members of the AIEF Nation Changers Syndicate.

AIEF Corporate Partner BHP recently hosted the Career Pathways Workshop in Brisbane for AIEF-BHP Tertiary Scholars. Students explored career options within the mining industry and saw the work BHP undertakes in their home communities.

AIEF Alumni Biama Nona and Mitchell Heritage were proud to represent AIEF at The Australian’s Competitive Advantage Forum: The Transformers, held in partnership with BHP.

The AIEF Mentor Program held induction days for new pairs and mid-year activities in Brisbane, Perth and Sydney throughout May.

Over 20 AIEF Scholarship Students in Years 10, 11 and 12 spent the day exploring the University of Technology, Sydney and Ultimo TAFE at the AIEF Tertiary Experience Day in Sydney on Friday 24 May.

AIEF-BHP Scholarship Students in Years 10, 11 and 12 from schools in WA learned about different pathways to employment at BHP at the Careers Experience Day in Perth.

Over 40 AIEF Scholarship Students in Years 10, 11 and 12 spent the day exploring the Queensland University of Technology and TAFE Queensland at the AIEF Tertiary Experience Day in Brisbane.

On Thursday 9 May, AIEF Patron David Gonski AC and AIEF Ambassador Matt Comyn hosted the annual AIEF Ambassador Briefing at the Commonwealth Bank in Sydney, culminating in the launch of the AIEF 2018 Annual Report with AIEF Patron Professor the Honourable Dame Marie Bashir AD CVO.
