AIEF Alum Latiesha Dunbar was honoured to speak at a commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of the National Apology in Brisbane alongside Indigenous health scholar Shea Spierings.

?AIEF Alumni Kygim King (2011, Kincoppal-Rose Bay) and Chris O’Donnell (2012, St Gregory’s College Campbelltown) represented AIEF at an event marking 10 years since the National Apology at NSW Parliament House.

On Thursday 23 November, Wyatt (Class of 2016, current AIEF-BHP Tertiary Scholar), Chris (Class of 2012, HSBC Graduate) and Josh (Class of 2012, Qantas Intern) attended The Australian’s Competitive Advantage Forum, held in partnership with BHP.

?On 17 November, AIEF Patron David Gonski AC and AIEF Ambassador Ian Narev hosted the annual AIEF Ambassador Briefing in Sydney.

On 20 October 2017 the AIEF Year 12 Graduation ceremony for scholarship students from schools in Queensland was held at Queensland Parliament House in Brisbane.

?On 27 October, 30 AIEF Scholarship Students from 11 Partner Schools in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia attended the Year 11 Learn It! Live It! Work Readiness Workshop at KPMG in Sydney.

?Over 18 and 19 October, AIEF held Learn It! Live It! Work Readiness Workshops for Year 11 and Year 12 students in Brisbane. The workshops were hosted by Perpetual at their Brisbane office for 90 students from 15 Partner Schools in Brisbane, Toowoomba, Ipswich, Cairns, Townsville and Perth.

AIEF Scholars Libby and Leon were honoured to perform the Acknowledgement of Country and meet the President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins and Sabina Higgins at a recent event in Sydney.

From 12–15 September nine AIEF Scholarship students attended the Australian Defence Force Exercise First Look program at the Army Logistics Training Centre in Albury.

On 31 August 27 AIEF Scholarship Students from 12 Partner Schools in NSW, VIC and WA attended the Year 12 Learn It! Live It! Work Readiness Workshop at KPMG in Sydney.

?On 1 September 2017 the AIEF Year 12 Graduation ceremony for scholarship students from schools in NSW, VIC and WA was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney.

?From 27 to 31 March, AIEF students in Years 11 and 12 travelled to Canberra for the Work Experience in Government (WEX) Program, which aims to provide Indigenous students with hands on experience and information about job opportunities and career pathways in the Australian Government.
